For the better part of 34 years I lived north of the 55th parallel and into the Canadian Arctic. Yes, even building and living in an igloo and sleeping in a snowstorm waking up cocooned in snow. Being 6 trades certified, I could fulfill a need for a skilled tradesman and I’d apply myself to help these poorer people and teach those willing to learn.Never asking for anything in return, I did however, revel in the joy and smiles on their faces, for that was reward enough. One of my trades is as an underground hardrock miner. This has allowed me to travel this great country and meet all these people. I've seen places so beautiful they aren't even in travel brochures.
